Preschool

AZ ELS Developmental Standards:

  • Pulls ups to a standing position and cruises around furniture
  • Begins to say ma-ma and da-da to refer
    to parents
  • Finger feeds self solid food
  • Follows a simple direction, such as- bring me the ball
  • Points to an object she knows when asked– where is it
  • Begins to use a spoon and hold a cup

Advancing towards:

  • Walks well and runs
  • Can push, pull, carry, and lift objects

TFT Developmental Plan:

Our K3 program is the stepping stone for the Kinder Prep program. During the year, the students learn all of the essential things they will need to progress to K4.

  • Learn Bible stories and how to apply them to their life
  • Alphabet names and sounds
  • Writing through tracing and line activities
  • Number recognition 1-15
  • Counting to 30
  • Creating art projects using paints, glue, crayons, and scissors
  • Showing respect for peers and teachers
  • Age-appropriate S.T.E.M. activities
  • Table manners using family-style dining

Developmental Goals:

  • Can use the toilet– with few accidents
  • Can balance on one foot, then the other
  • Can name up to three colors
  • Can retell parts of a familiar story
  • Begins to play with other children rather than alongside them
Advancing towards:
  • Likes playground challenges
  • Dresses self completely, including buttons
  • Begins to zip and tie
  • Can play cooperatively with a small group of children
  • Draws people in two parts– head and arms or legs
  • Can tell parents about something that
    happened to them
  • Says number words to ten

TFT Developmental Plan:

The K-4 program is for Kinder Prep. The program is very strong, rigorous, and well rounded which gives the child the foundations they need for Kindergarten readiness.

  • Learn Bible stories and how to apply them to their life
  • Phonetic and grammar development through blends in oral and written words
  • Number recognition and writing, 1-20
  • Count to 100
  • Simple addition
  • Showing and making complex patterns in color, shapes and objects
  • Letter blends and sound combinations
  • How to make fun, colorful, creative art projects through cutting, taping, gluing, drawing and folding
  • Age-appropriate S.T.E.M. activities
  • Table manner using family-style dining

Child Care

Before & After School Care

Available to our TCA families, TFT offers Before & After school care to provide a safe and caring environment until school begins or student pick-up. 

6:00-7:30 am and 3:30-6:00 pm

Program includes:
  • Staff supervision
  • Outdoor play and recreation
  • Homework assistance
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Board games 
  • Comfortable age appropriate space 

Summer Program

We offer a safe, educational, and fun summer program for ages 1-12. Time For Tots provides day care options for ages 1-4, while Summer Enrichment provides exciting academic and physical activities for the elementary ages during the summer months. The programs vary slightly based on the child’s development and program standards. Field trips are available for students ages 5 and up.
