First Few Days of School

Whether it’s the first day of school, the first day of work, or the first time dropping your child off, first-day jitters can happen to everyone. Your child is waiting for confirmation from you that they are safe and that you will return. You’re more than welcome to call anytime to check-in. Although, they’re likely playing and having a good time! Throughout the day your teacher will also be notifying you of all the fun activities your child is participating in!

Your child is welcome to get breakfast daily as long as we are notified by 7:00 a.m. the day the child needs breakfast. They will also receive a tasty and nutritional lunch every day. In addition to lunch and breakfast, children will be given two snacks every day. We do post any and all dietary needs in food areas. Feel free to mention any dietary needs your child may have. Bringing food from home is acceptable, also.

How will I know what is happening on my child’s day?

If your child is aged one to three, your child’s activities will be input in Procare. This will notify the parents immediately when your child has had a diaper change, their academic settings, nap schedules, pictures of them enjoying their day, and so much more! Kindergarten prep is a great transition with a heavy focus on academics. During this transition period, we encourage parents to call at any time if needed.

Will My Child Go Outside Every Day?

If weather permits, children will have outdoor time at least twice daily. We are blessed to be a part of Tri-City Christian Academy where we can use a large gym for open play when heat advisories are in session.
